PLEASE LET SANTA IN!!

Hi! to you who is reading this!!

There are only a few hours
before Christmas day officially begins!!
I've been baking away making
all kinds of 'sweets' to give all my friends as their gifts.

In the meantime I have prepared a little puzzle
or game. The idea is to let Santa into the house
so he can deliver his precious 'cargo'
and place it under your tree.
And ... don't forget the cookies!!!
ENJOY!!

PLEASE ... Let me in!!

          To play the game
you will have to find a certain number of signs
which will prepare the room for Santa's entry!!
Think of Christmas stereotypes,
they are the main clues to look for!!
GOOD LUCK!!

START by clicking onto my name and the LINK will appear.                                                                         SUZANNE

Dear SANTA these are my Christmas wishes!

Dear Santa,

I don't want much for Christmas,
I just want the person reading this to be happy.

FRIENDS  are the “ fruit cake  of life
-        some nutty,
-        some soaked in alcohol,
-        some sweet and fruity,
-        some that you keep forever,
-        some very rich
-        and some a bit too filling
–
BUT mix them all together
and they are the ones I love!

Love ‘ya too,  Santa!
Really ... I do !

MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!
To all my very dear dear friends ,
family, students, and acquaintances !

 A footnote* from your teacher

*For educational purposes of course and  for FUN too!

 fruitcake  /ˈfru:tkāk/

1. Fruitcake (or fruit cake) is a very rich cake made with chopped candied fruit and/or dried fruit, nuts and spices, and (optionally) soaked in spirits. A cake that simply has fruit in it as an ingredient can also be colloquially called a fruitcake.

In the United Kingdom, certain rich versions may be iced and decorated just like me!

  2. Slang (Brit): a person considered to be whimsically eccentric or insane.
Also a person with an unusual or odd personality.
SYN.  crackpot, nut case, screwball, crank, nut, oddball, geek, flake.
e.g. He’s a complete fruitcake! A horribly amusing insult derived from the     expression, 'nutty as a fruitcake' .
Also used as a euphemism for gay men.

I looove my nuts!!!   Suzanne

MY FAVORITE Christmas song!

LYRICS to follow along!!
Your own little Christmas
KARAOKE

I don't want a lot for Christmas
There's just one thing I need
I don't care about the presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
All I want for Christmas is...
You

I don't want a lot for Christmas
There's just one thing I need
I don't care about the presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
I don't need to hang my stocking
There upon the fireplace
Santa Claus won't make me happy
With a toy on Christmas day
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
All I want for Christmas is you
You baby

I won't ask for much this Christmas
I don't even wish for snow
I'm just gonna keep on waiting
Underneath the mistletoe
I won't make a list and send it
To the North Pole for Saint Nick
I won't even stay awake to
Hear those magic reindeers click
'Cause I just want you here tonight
Holding on to me so tight
What more can I do
Baby all I want for Christmas is you
Ooh baby
All the lights are shining
So brightly everywhere
And the sound of children's
Laughter fills the air
And everyone is singing
I hear those sleigh bells ringing
Santa won't you bring me the one I really need
Won't you please bring my baby to me...

Oh I don't want a lot for Christmas
This is all I'm asking for
I just want to see my baby
Standing right outside my door
Oh I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
Baby all I want for Christmas is...
You

All I want for Christmas is you... baby

A mother-in-law's unexpected Christmas visit!!! With a SURPRISE ending!!

Good Day! To all of you,
Today it's nice and sunny, a bit windy too. Much better than rainy and gloomy! Especially if you are running around shopping with all those crasy people! Doesn't anybody work anymore??
I have attached a little Christmas joke, it is a very stereotypical one at that. I know that some of you ladies are mother-in-laws, but it's really to put some laughter into your day. ENJOY!
Suzanne

"The doorbell rang this morning.
I thought it might be Santa,
as I was speaking about him
to my little niece just at that moment.
You know, the expression,
“ Speak of the devil !

Well when I opened the door,
there ‘he’ stood dressed as my mother-in-law !
She was standing on the front steps.
She said, 'Can I stay here for a few days?'
I answered, ‘Sure you can '

 Then I shut the door."

* Speak of the devil! is the short form of the idiom "Speak of the devil and he doth appear". It is used when an object of discussion unexpectedly   becomes present during the conversation.

The ANGEL that we place atop the Christmas tree.

   A Christmas Story
The origin of
the Christmas angel

When four of Santa's elves got sick, the elves in training did not produce toys as fast as the regular ones and Santa began to feel the pre-Christmas pressure. Then Mrs. Claus told Santa that her mother was coming to visit, which stressed Santa even more. When he went to harness the reindeer, he found that three of them were about to give birth and two others had jumped the fence and were out "Heaven knows where"! Then when he began to load the sleigh, one of the floorboards cracked and the toy bag fell to the ground and all the toys were scattered.
Needing a break, Santa went in the house for a cup of apple cider and a shot of rum. When he went to the cupboard, he discovered the elves had drank all the cider and hidden the rum.

In his frustration, he accidentally dropped the cider jug and it broke into hundreds of little pieces all over the kitchen floor. He went to get the broom and found the mice had eaten all the straw off the end of the broom.

Just then the doorbell rang, and Santa very irritated at that moment, marched to the door, yanked it open, and there stood a little angel with a great big Christmas tree.  The angel said very cheerfully, 'Merry Christmas, Santa. Isn't this a lovely day? I have a beautiful tree for you, where would you like me to put it?'

And so began the tradition of placing
the little angel at the top of the Christmas tree.

Delightful !!!
People really think up these stories!
They have a fun imagination!
They make us laugh and smirk, and
give us such a different view of
Christmas and its time-old traditions.
A PEACE OFFERING!
