IN LIKE A LION', OUT LIKE A LAMB

A SAYING ABOUT THE WEATHER

In Like A Lion, Out Like A Lamb

Today sitting in front of my window my grandmother’s saying about the month of March and referring to the weather and the winter of course, seems to be true today!!!
March roars in like a lion
So fierce,
The wind so cold,
It seems to pierce.
The month rolls on
And Spring draws near,
 And March goes out
Like a lamb so dear. -- Lori Hill

The first time I heard this saying, March comes in like a Lion and goes out like a Lamb, it came from my grand-mother, Ethel. The ‘thing is’ though, that my grandmother was British and this saying is related to the March weather of the British Isles
“The winds of March encourage an exploration of contrasts.
From fierce gales to gentle breezes, pelting rains to soft mist.”
March is the time of transition from winter to spring.
Lions and lambs also invite comparison.
So let’s hope that Spring is on it’s way and
that winter’s identity crisis is resolved for this year.

Today I’ve included a link to share with you. I received it from Claire C. Thanks Claire ! If you all remember the song “Singing in the Rain” and the proverb : If life hands you lemons, make lemonade. This little video will give you something to reflect about.

So ... What the heck!
Enjoy this 'bad' weather ...
it may be the last!!!
