SHAKING and MOVING !

What a sad Monday !!
Is it really spring ?

Of course Murphy's Law got to me this morning!
I could have packed the car up yesterday,
moving all my plants up North for the summer ... but I didn't!
Procrastination got the best of me
and I opted for leaving it till today  :(
So this morning I'm restling with the North-Eastern wind
and the rain and the cool weather.
I never seem to make things easy for myself
when it comes to practical and common chores.
I guess that I have a more artistic personality.

So I'm taking a few minutes to write this and
to let you know that I'm still writing and posting on my blog.
Things have slowed down for the moment and
I want to assure you that I'll be writing all summer.
Once I am settled down and using my intellect
instead of my muscles, which is not bad in itself,
but you understand!!

I'm here and keeping in touch!
Happy sunny times are ahead!

BRING ME SUNSHINE ...

This song I dedicate to all the mothers in our lives.
HAPPY MOTHERS' DAY to all you great MOMS!!!

Click on the title of this post, the one above and
it will link you to the music video.
Below you will also find the HAPPY lyrics to this song.

BRING ME SUNSHINE ….

Bring me Sunshine, in your smile,
Bring me Laughter, all the while,
In this world where we live, there should be more happiness,
So much joy you can give, to each brand new bright tomorrow,

Make me happy, through the years,
Never bring me, any tears,
Let your arms be as warm as the sun from up above,
Bring me fun, bring me sunshine, bring me love.

Bring me Sunshine, in your eyes,
Bring me rainbows, from the skies,
Life's too short to be spent having anything but fun,
We can be so content, if we gather little sunbeams,

Be light-hearted, all day long,
Keep me singing, happy songs,
Let your arms be as warm as the sun from up above,
Bring me fun, bring me sunshine, bring me love.

HAVE FUN!
Suzanne

MOTHER'S DAY

Here is a very short POEM
that I thought would 'hit the spot'.
Whether you are a 'mom' or not,
we are all mother's at heart.

There are ...
Hundreds of stars in the pretty sky,
Hundreds of shells on the shore together,
Hundreds of birds that go singing by,
Hundreds of lambs in the sunny weather.
Hundreds of dewdrops to greet the dawn,
Hundreds of bees in the purple clover,
Hundreds of butterflies on the lawn,
But ...
THERE IS only one mother the wide world over.

--By George Cooper

Today of all days, loads and loads of love!
If like me, your mother is no longer with you,
may she be as present as she was
in your heart and in your memories.

A QUESTION OF IDENTITY?

A CASE of MISTAKEN IDENTITY or MISINTERPRETATION

A 'quid pro quo' always makes for a fun story! Here it is.

Dylan is in line waiting (in a queue) at his local supermarket when all of a sudden, he notices that the very good-looking (dishy) redhead behind him in the queue has just raised her hand and is giving him a big 'Hello'.

He is rather taken aback that such a ‘looker’ would be waving to him, and although her face is vaguely familiar, Dylan can't place where he might know her from, so he says, ‘Sorry, do you know me?’

She replies, ‘I could be mistaken, but I think that you might be the father of one of my children.’

Dylan's mind shoots back to the one and only time he had been unfaithful, ‘Good Grief!’ he says, 'Did we meet at Frank’s bachelor party in Toronto?’ Dylan continues, 'When I was released from the police station that night and got back to the hotel room, you had left!'

‘No!' she replies smiling … ‘I'm your son's English teacher.'

SUNNY and SUPERB ... SUNDAY and SPRING!

What a sunny and superb
Sunday afternoon!

Lucien is enjoying the sunshine. I have never seen him grooming himself so passionately and vigourouisly. He is 'spring cleaning' his fur coat!!! He’s licking in all the Vitamin D3 that the sun is shinning down on him,  while I have to buy mine in a bottle at the pharmacy … How ironic!!!

I have just come back from running an errand.
And I am impressed by all the outdoor activity
or should I say ‘activities’.
EVERY SINGLE HUMAN BEING
in my neighbourhood is outside!!!
This is surely a sign that spring has finally arrived!
How do I know?
Well, the signs are there for me to observe.
First I must mention all the automobiles that are getting a ‘bath’. This is one of the sure signs, don’t you agree? Every single male and a few females are using up all our precious water ressources, cleaning their cars. Not to mention all the soap and other chemical mixtures to make everything shiny!!! Spring brings out the best in nature but the worst in human nature L

I’m really so glad to open my windows!
Today all of them are wide open.
I can hear all the lovely birds that have decided to build
their nests in the awesome old, old trees in my neighbourhood.
Lucien is having fun and getting some exercise
running from one window to the other
and checking out the action!
But then, my second observation, all the noise that is slowly coming back. Renovations have started around here. So have the annoying electric saws and drills, and the hammering and people yelling orders to one another over all that noise that THEY ARE MAKING TOO!!!!
WOW!!! Can't wait for the lawnmowers and grass trimmers!!
I’ll be glad to be heading off to the countryside this week!
The only noise there comes from the squirrels and chipmunks,
the birds and the loons.
"And what about your car?", you ask.
Well it will be very well taken care of
and washed by Mother Nature herself ... the rain ;)

HAVE A GREAT SPRING
And a great week!
Suzanne

QUESTION:
What are your favourite spring activities???
