A FUNNY STORY TODAY!
A little boy was doing his math homework ...
He said to himself, 'Two plus two, that son of a bitch is four. Two plus three, that son of a bitch is five.'
His mother heard what he was saying and gasped, 'What are you doing?' The little boy answered, 'I'm doing my math homework, Mum.' 'And this is how your teacher taught you to do it?' the mother asked.
'Yes,' he answered.
Infuriated, the mother asked the teacher the next day, 'What are you
teaching my son in math?' The teacher replied, 'Right now, we are learning addition.' The mother asked, 'And you are teaching them to say two plus two, that son of a bitch is four?'
After the teacher stopped laughing, she answered, 'What I taught them
was, two plus two, THE SUM OF WHICH, is four.'
JUST GOES TO SHOW YOU, what you hear may NOT be what you thought you heard but what you might have expected to hear.
C'est un bel example de l'apprentissage au son! Et ce qu'il faut corriger par après!

You're right. It's important to chose well the word.
When I was young, I had an aunt who was pregnant. One day my mother said at my father that she had lost her waters. In French, the words " eaux and os "have the same pronunciation. Can you imagine as I thought...How she must have to have hurts.
There's a funny little anecdote about choosing the right word! But for a child that has misunderstood the meaning it would have been quite frightening when your mom said TO your dad ...
Poor you ... thinking HOW IT MUST HURT.
I believed it for many years. I have known the reality that when I was an adolescent because we didn't talk these subjects at home.
You believed it for many years. WOW!
As a teenager this was a reality for me because these subjects were not talked about at home.
Huguette, I have a similar story to tell! to It happened me when I was 14. Again it caused me to feel really anxious for a couple of weeks ... and again, we didn't talk about those things(sex). They were 'tabou' ... and our imaginations took over!
